Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM seeks to strengthen its team of software architects to meet the permanent needs of our largest clients, in sectors as varied as banking, finance, industry, aeronautics and mass distribution.
At IBM, the software architect is a trusted technical advisor to decision makers at our customers. He is the technical leader who facilitates the digital transformation of businesses through innovative opportunities in the areas of hybrid cloud, automation, AI, data and security.
The architect also works with our partners to design competitive solutions that leverage the capabilities of IBM and integrators to ensure the success of software projects.
As an Architect, you will participate in the design and pre-sales of software solutions and offerings, while working with IBM’s ecosystem of partners.
You build these offerings by leveraging the entire IBM Cloud software portfolio.
In more detail, you are required to:
- Become the technical referent to the customer, his advisor, to support him in his relationship with IBM and in his reflection on his software needs.
- Know your customers perfectly, understand their environment, their initiatives, their profession and their challenges. Have regular interactions with him.
- Show empathy and build relationships of trust with the client’s main technical decision-makers.
- Identify new opportunities to win major architecture battles.
- Demonstrate the value and software capabilities of IBM that address customer growth initiatives or business issues.
- Monitor the implementation of secure end-to-end integrated software solutions in multiple environments (public, dedicated, private cloud).
- Build and lead with the sales team the various actions leading to the selection and implementation of our solutions.
- Animate the relationship with the various technical teams and the ecosystem, both internally and externally.
- Learn and train continuously to strengthen your skills and master new emerging technologies
- Develop skills in the industries and fields of activity of our clients
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
You come from an engineering school or a university (M2 informatics) and have followed a computer training course.
You are dynamic, organized, endowed with good interpersonal skills, and intellectual agility. You are passionate about new technologies and the cloud.
You want to put your technical skills at the service of your clients’ challenges and issues, and your analytical, thinking and creative skills are revealed in this activity.
You have the ability to build relationships with leaders of architectural teams in large organizations.
You have the ability to solve complex technical problems with technical choices
You have a strong experience in the preparation and presentation of solutions and demos to customers, from operational teams to C-level managers.
You have a good knowledge of cloud technologies (IBM, AWS, Azure, Google or others), infrastructure, network, security, containers and Kubernetes / Openshift orchestration, a good software culture in fields as varied as Data, AI, Security.
You have a good team spirit.
You have a very good command of French, oral and written English.

BS in engineering / Computer science or equivalent experience
